Dolls

Fathers would often carve dolls from ivory for children, and the mothers would dress them (Ray 1996, 84). Dolls always have the same kind of parka, pants, and boots as the sewer herself, or at least ones like her village (Ray 1996, 61). Children, particularly girls, would use the dolls as playthings.
