December 7 1926 Mr. J. W. Theisen, 524 Stonehurst Drive, Pasadena, California. Dear Jake: Your letter of November 30th received and the pho- tograph of the fireplace looks beautiful. I could not see from the blue print how it was going to look and I believe from this photo it will be lovely. I am glad you can go right at the house and I hope you can get the little apartment over the garage ready so that I can live there and batch until the balance of the house is finished. From the letters I received from the Coopers. I don’t believe Mrs. Cooper is very well so I don’t want to impose on her by staying very long with my father. Then, too, there is a man going to drive my car down. He has worked for us for two years and is a number one carpenter so will help with the work on the house as well as drive my car when I need it, and he will have to be taken care of and I cannot impose on daddy to that extent. So, please get the plaster on the lit- tle apartment so it will be dry as quickly as possible. I am hoping to leave here December 15th and will drive down there if possible. ast night I sent you the following telegram: “Glad you are working on the house. Crowd garage apartment as fast as possible so I can live there while the balance of house is finished. Fireplace looks good. Letter following.” Love to Nettie and the family, Sincerely,
