Mrs. Nancy C.Russell[sic] 725 Michigan Blvd. Pasadena, Calif. October 5, 1939 Mr. Erwin S. Barrie Grand Central Art Galleries 15 Vanderbilt Avenue New York City Dear Mr. Barrie: Your air mail letter of October 2nd received, and I thank you. I hope you are going to meet a friend of mine, who is authorized to submit for me and to me any proposition from an interested Foundation which has the aim of making a permanent collection of Charlie’s work, especially a national collection that will be held in tack[sic] and permanent so all who wish to see the collection can find a representative collection as I have for that purpose. Mr. Carr will most likely call on you within a week or two and please feel free to tell him any proposition you have to submit to me, and he will act for me. He has all the material so can answer almost any question you may want to ask. I do hope all this interest will lead to something good for us all. I am giving a copy of this letter Mr. Carr which will introduce him to you. Sincerely yours, Mrs. Nancy C. Russell NCR: C
