[letterhead page 1] MACKAY & COMPANY TENAFLY, N.J. [handwritten] May 6th 21 My dear Charley__ I leave tomorrow night for my annual pilgrimage to the home of the Grizzlies_ we are going to try the Brazeau mountains in alta[sic] this time__ I was wondering if you had made and progress with the Poster for the Russell Room yet. Should you not have started anything yet, How would it be to paint a poster of your postcard “Here’s how to me and my friend, the same to you and yours, I savy[sic] these folks” I think that would work out great___ We are going out [over] [verso] to Alberta via the Grand Trunk from montreal so will not have the pleas ure of stopping off at your camp at the Falls_ I do hope that you all (3) will come to the 41 outfit this summer and camp awhile _ I have talked with several art dealer’s, along 5th Ave, of late, regarding Charley Russell’s paintings, and I am happy to relate that the truth is pereating permeating into these places at last_ they all say now that Charley Russell stands at the head of all our Western painters_ Truth travels slowly, but it is sure to win in time___ Our kindest to you all Malcolm S.
