November 24th, 1919. My dear Mrs. Russell: Thank you for your nice letter of the 17th. I wrote you as I did because when I was in Montana and looked at the picture, I made up my mind I should like very much to have it, if I could get it for $2,500, but did not feel that I would care to give more than that for it. Although I do like the picture very much, I should not care to buy it if I had to pay more than $2,500, so if you ever change your mind about this, I should be glad to hear from you.
