[handwritten] [1] 27 Lorranie Apts- Calgary- My dear Mrs. Russell In answer to yours of June 3rd, I have shown your letter to my husband, and as you are anxious to get a price we would take twenty thousand dollars each for the two pictures- “Carson’s Men” & the “Indian Burial” ($20,000) This offer stays good till the 10th of July 1930- I had written [2] to you mentioning that we had decided not to part with them at present as we believe in the not distant future these pictures will be worth more. Of course if any one turns up here who wants’ them more than we do we reserve the right to sell them, we really think a great deal of them & should be very sorry to part with them, but feel if we get that price we should let them go. Yours Sincerely [signed] Mary Campbell
