Inscribed in type on two red trimmed stickers, "Canyon de Chelly, Arizona 1913. The name is Navajo and signifies 'The Place Where the Cliffs Divide.' It is a celebrated place for its cliff dwellers; its cliffs raise 2000' in places. The scene is 18 miles from the entrance to the canyon, and is taken at sunset or very late afternoon. The obelisk in the distance is called by the Indians, 'The Spider' for what reason is not clear. It is 850' high." on verso
