Inscriptions: Inscribed in pencil on a paper glued to cardboard backing, "1897-8/Bull Thigh-Cheyenne. Time and weather made his skin leathery, but was mild and lovable character. White man beat him up one day, was arrested & taken to Helena for trial- Bull Thigh had to go as witness-first time on a train, first in hotel & etc.- Looking for him in a.m., his bed untouched, but found him under it- rolled up in his blanket asleep. He ate at every chance & plenty of it. When the trial came up he refused to testify- he had such a good time and eats he tho't it was to even up things. Judge discharged man, who shook hands with Bull Thigh, and every one satisfied.
