Chief Weasel Head / Alexander Phimister Proctor
Gallery Label
Proctor made studies for this work on a hunting trip to Montana Territory in 1895. This work was registered at Gorham the same day as Aims Back (0826.77, 0826.78), January 28, 1914, and assigned the next code in the sequence—QUE. Like Aims Back, this bronze was also apparently a marketplace flop, and only two are known to exist.
