Carisbrooke Castle, Isle of Wight / Thomas Moran

Curatorial Remarks

Thomas Moran traveled to Great Britain with his brother Edward during the summer of 1862. As Anne Morand notes, although the date inscribed is 1861, the work should be catalogued and dated with the July 1862 sketches.
