Wooded Farm Scene / Thomas Moran

Curatorial Remarks

Although this work is unsigned, it appears the artist Thomas Moran saved it for years. Nancy Friese suggests it may be one of his wood engravings from his years as an apprentice at the firm of Scattergood and Telfer. Nancy Friese, The Prints of Thomas Moran, pg. 173/Sandra Pauly, Henry Luce Foundation Curatorial Scholar for Moran Collection Research 3.18.22
