Landscape Front cover: 1.587- 1.615 mm; Back cover: 1.354- 1.417 mm; Text Block (Leaves): 0.193- 0.202 mm Artist's notebook (landscape orientation) full bound in brown sized calico. An elastic strap is adhered to the front cover, used to secure the notebook closed. An additional flap fabric is adhered to the head of the back cover (used to hold pencils). Total of four sections of three folded sheets are stapled together (6 leaves in each section; 22 leaves (+2 endpapers) total in original text block). The text block is composed of off-white, wove, hot-pressed paper, with curved foredges. Label sticker is located on the inside of the front cover "Sketch Book of Whatman's Drawing Paper. Series A. :Hot-Pressed" Surface. Reeves & Sons, LTD. London". At some point transported in a brown craft envelope labeled with a black ink stamp "After 5 days return to M. Knoedler & Company, Inc. 14 East 57th Street, New York 22, N.Y. Return postage guaranteed". Written at the top in graphite "Sketchbook- 1910-1912". Other Moran sketchbooks transported in similar envelopes.
