Letter from Huckleberry Downing and Tah-lah-lah at Post Neosho, Missouri to Chief John Ross in Philadelphia reporting Agent Harlan has $12,000 for relief of Cherokee refuges. The Reverse side of this document is a letter from Brigadier General James G. Blunt to the soldiers of the 1st , 2nd, and 3rd Indian Regiments of the Home Guard bidding farewell and trusting that they will give obedience to his successor. (Moulton).
