Riley, District Court Judge for Cherokee Nation, stated that Alexander Brown signed the Power of Attorney in his presence on May 2, 1850. Note from Principle Chief of the Cherokee Nation John Ross stated that full faith and credit was due to Felix W. Riley's official acts. Folder 149
