Scope and Content Notes

Frank Armstrong was from Adjutant General Division, Headquarters Division, Camp Jackson in Arkansas. Armstrong wrote to Colonel John Drew who was commanding the Cherokee Regiment in Tahlequah, Cherokee Nation. The letter instructed Drew to concentrate his regiment as soon as he could and march to southern line of Kansas and take position on the Neosho River. Folder 288
