Affidavit, warrant and jury ruling for George Hughey and Ned

Scope and Content Notes

Affidavit given by O. P. Brewer stated that George Hughey and Ned stole two steers from him. The steers were worth $32.00 and were stolen on or about the 13th or 14th of November 1872. The affidavit was signed O. P. Brewer and was given before J. L. McCorkle. 4026.1942.1 was a warrant from J. L. McCorkle for the arrest of George Hughey and Ned to answer for the charge of stealing two steer. On Verso of 4026.1942.1 it stated that the warrant was served by William Cann on January 12, 1873. Also on Verso of 4026.1942.1 the jury ruling stated that they found the prisoner guilty on February 10, 1873. Folder 375
