Deposition, warrant, and jury ruling for Joe Wolf

Scope and Content Notes

Affidavit given by Snake Girty alleged that Joe Wolf stole a mule from William Griffin. The mule was worth $100.00 and was stolen on or about the 7th or 8th of July 1872. The affidavit was signed ᎢᎾᏂᎦ and was given before J. L. McCorkle. 4026.1944.1 was a warrant from J. L. McCorkle for the arrest of Joe Wolf to answer for the charge of stealing the mule. On verso of 4026.1944.1 it stated the warrant was served by John Q. Hayes on April 2, 1873. Also on verso of 4026.1944.1 the jury ruling stated that they found the prisoner guilty of the charge on April 21, 1873. Folder 377
