Biography reads: "Born 1819, Brother to the Head Chief of the Dellawares [sic], Served as a guide and hunter to Col Fremont in 1846, Engaged in several skirmishes with the Indians of the mountains and survived a wound in the leg in one of the engagements." Folder 255A
