Affidavit of Rufus M. McWilliams, Clerk, sworn in Benton County, Arkansas Circuit Court. Referring to theft by Aaron Christie, a Cherokee, of merchandise from store of Thomas Hazen at residence of late John Ridge on Dec. 11, 1839. Affidavit is dated April 22, 1841. It is signed by John B. Dickson, Clerk of Circuit Court for Benton, Arkansas. Swearing to signature of Charles Coats, Justice of Peace. Single folded sheet of paper with handwritten text in ink on four pages. Object 4026.933 attached. Folder 762
