Robert Fairchild attend the Booker T. Washington High School when the noted school was located in the Greenwood District. He was friends with fellow boot black (shoe shine boy), Diamond Dick (James Jones) Fairchild was noted to be among the earliest survivors interviewed by the media during the early days up until his death.
