Fort Reno Ledger Drawing
Scope and Content Notes
There are two drawings in the 1879 book depicting warrior society dances. With painted faces and wearing roaches with eagle feathers, hair pipe chokers, and garters, the two dancers seem to be celebrating a victory. The man on the right carries a firearm and wears a calico shirt, vest, leggings, a breechcloth, and German silver armbands. Warrior society regalia are shown on the left.
