Scope and Content Notes
In one of two courting scenes in the 1879 book, a man on horseback greets a woman dressed in a cotton dress, concho belt with drop, and shawl around her waist, while a second man looks on. Both men carry umbrellas and have their bow cases and quivers by their sides. The horse on the left is distinguished by split ears.
