Scope and Content Notes

Letter written in Cherokee syllabary from James McDaniel to Chiefs Ross and Lewis, dated March 17 at the Place of the Chiefs regarding a man hunt for himself. McDaniel is a council member, refers to himself as "It's-Breaking-Out-of-Him", and signs the letter in English. Handwritten and typescript tranlation included alongside photocopy. Folder 73
