Ceramic seated male effigy. Jaina Island style. Mold formed. Figure is shown wearing a headdress, earrings, necklace, and arm cuffs on each arm. Figure shows some traces of paint.

Jaina Island lies off the coast of the Mexican state of Campeche in the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the site of a Mayan necropolis or a large cemetery where ceramic figurines were often interred with the dead.
