Essay/Description

Funerary sculpture. Ixtlan del Rio style. Hollow construction. Seated male with tunic and hat. Painted articles of adornment include tunic, wrist bands, arm bands, hat, and neck decorations. Remnants of black pigment over entire surface. Painted eyes. Perforations at ears (.12” diameter). See 54.3892 for matching female effigy. “Marriage Pairs” are common within the Ixtlan del Rio style.
