Ceramic seated male effigy. Jaina Island Style. Mold formed. The figure is shown seated in a chair and is wearing a headdress, earrings, necklace, an arm cuff, and clothing. Traces of paint can be seen.

Jaina Island lies off the coast of the Mexican state of Campeche in the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the site of a Mayan necropolis or a large cemetery where ceramic figurines were often interred with the dead.
