Essay/Description

Peyote symbol wall hanging that is in 3 sections. The top is a peyote blossom, the middle is a quater moon with a star cutout, the bottom is the messenger bird with a cross cutout in the center. The bottom section is attached with a brass nail. At the top is a chain and the middle section is attached with a piece of the chain. The brass is highly polished.

Curatorial Remarks

The crescent moon symbolizes the peyote altar. The lines cutout on the crescent moon represent the path of Christ.
