Curatorial Remarks
They were worn with cloth shirts in the late 19th century during straight dance. This style is used into the 20th century, and they are still worn today. Sometimes, the Kaw would perform straight dances with the Osage during June dances. The I'n-kon-schka dance was given to the Osage by the Kaw in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
