Metal scarf slide with large metal eagle mounted to ring / Unknown

Essay/Description

A ring soldered to a metal eagle plate. The eagle has outspread wings and is looking to its right. There is a shield on the eagle's chest. The design is engraved and looks black. The ring has an imprint and an arrow shape on the inside.

Curatorial Remarks

This scarf slide is not particularly peyote, but it may have been worn to a peyote meeting. This is an eagle, not a water bird. This is an American eagle, and it may be a political symbol and could have been worn by a veteran.
