Coiled and feathered basket with lid / Native American; Pomo

Essay/Description

Coiled “kah-hoom” (water gift) and “kah-call” (water son) taken from roots of a Californian variety of slough grass. Dark green and yellow feathers completely cover both the basket and lid. Small clam shell beads are on the rim of both the basket and lid. Meadow bark and green mallard head feathers.
