Essay/Description

Large Apache polychrome basketry olla with a flared rim and an encircling connected diamond design. Inside the diamonds are polychrome geometric motifs and crosses. The basket has a rod foundation with willow, dyed willow, and devil's claw stitching and design.

Curatorial Remarks

Storage olla (jar) made from willow and devil's claw with red dye on some designs.
