Blank commercially printed greeting card with a picture of an Osage Native American Church / Ann Homan
Essay/Description
A piece of paper folded twice to produce a commercial printed note card. The image on the front is of an Osage Big Moon (NAC) church house. On the back of the folded card is text, giving the publisher as Okie Land, the copyright holder as Ann Homan of Fairfax, Okla., the title as "Indian American Church", and "Lithographed from the original oil painting by Ann Homan".
Curatorial Remarks
The Osage made wooden permanent church structures. They also sometimes used temporary structures such as a tipi. The altar in a permanent structure would have been made out of concrete. These structures were built by local carpenters that were hired. Some of these would have stained glass windows.
