Essay/Description

Beaded sage holder with handle section with blue ground; black and orange water birds above peyote stitch section in yellow, orange, red, and burgundy with black and white feathers. Vertical banding in peyote colors, white crosses with red centers on brown horizon with black and silver band at bottom. 16 strands of twisted white doeskin fringe attached to base. All beading attached to white leather Ferrell and two pieces of sinew attached at top where sprig of sage to be attached.

This sage holder may have been used by Kickapoo or Sac & Fox participants.
