Essay/Description

Loose feather fan in the Native American Church style with three trimmed pheasant feathers. There are 8 blue-green macaw feathers, and 1 green parrot feather. These feathers are housed in white buckskin sleeves that attach to the handle. The feathers are painted with dots of rust and yellow and are trimmed at their base with blue and pink feathers. The handle is covered in net (gourd stitch) beadwork in seed beads in orange, red, yellow, and green on a blue field. The designs are chevron and blossom in form. There are fourteen lengths of 2-ply twisted fringe at the end of the handle.
