Lacrosse ball game stick of close-grained hardwood. Catch net of oiled leather laces, net wall of 1/4" rawhide. 17 holes drilled around curved head to tie liced net to, 3 holes to tie rawhide wall to. Netting is laced/woven in place, not separately. Handle is oval with 8 flat sides, approximately 2/3 of length of handle. At the first hole at the top of the handle, the handle is bend so that curved "hook" for net is centered over handle. Shape of wood flattens along the side of the netting, and thins at the top of the curve. Tribal commercial trademark is burned into wood, along the widest flat part of the net area. "PATTERSON, TUSCARORA NATION" with arrow intterupted by "PATTERSON" and number "8" to left of "TUSCARORA". Mark on handle at point of angled bend from shaping. Presumed heat-bent. No makers hallmark found.
