Peyote bird fan with beaded handle / Unknown

Curatorial Remarks

A green macaw feather is on the back of the eagle feather fan. The symbolism in the feather work is remarkable. This is a tied feather fan. The back of the fan is symbolic of a peyote cactus coming out of a fire. A feather mosaic was made to create a peyote fire.
