Essay/Description

14 separate bunches of feathers attached to buckskin with sinew. One group is encased in a headed (red and white) handle. The handle is red, white and blue beaded decoration.

Curatorial Remarks

This fan has a wide variety of feathers from different birds, and some feathers have been serrated on the edges. The style is not typical of a Native American Church fan.
