Rivercane feather holders tied with hide
Beaded ceremonial feather wrapped in hide
Feather peyote fan with beaded handle and leather fringe / Unknown
Essay/Description
24 bunches of feathers attached to raw hide thongs, bound together in a beaded handle of dark and light blue and maroon. Attached to handle is a silver concho and a rust micaceous commercial stone heart attached to a rawhide thong.
Curatorial Remarks
This is not a typical Native American Church fan. It has a wide variety of feathers that are arranged in different directions and lengths. The feathers seem to have been deliberately chosen from different birds.
