Soft soled leather moccasins with beadwork on vamp and on cuff / Unknown

Essay/Description

Soft soled leather moccasins with beadwork on the vamp and on the cuff. Beadwork is in a geometric design and is done with a spot stitch.

Curatorial Remarks

These are indicative of the Kickapoo due to the rectangular beadwork on the top of the moccasin. The Kickapoo were very traditional in some of their dress. Moccasins were something the Kickapoo wore around the house well into the 1920s.
