Leather moccasins with a white beaded field and Peyote water bird designs / Unknown
Curatorial Remarks
These are fully beaded peyote moccasins. These are four water birds on the foot of the moccasins. Stylized fire place (also symbolic of the church) designs on the side of the moccasins. This type of beadwork is most representative of the Native American Church style. These have been worn for peyote meeting. These would fit into a display of peyote art.
