Essay/Description

Child’s beaded leather moccasins with geometric designs.

Curatorial Remarks

These moccasins may have been worn by a child, but not walked in. A unique feature of these moccasins is that the tongue is serrated and the star design. Hard soled moccasins are made of raw hide and the uppers are tanned. These are more characteristic of Northern style because the beadwork goes around the entire back of the foot; they don't have the split on the seam.
