Child’s beaded leather moccasins with geometric designs / Unknown
Curatorial Remarks
The red beads are 19th century and also called "white hearts" meaning they have a white core in the red. The design on the vamp of the moccasins are indicative of the Arapaho. The purpose for the use of moccasins at the turn of the 20th century were "transitional" meaning they could have been worn for domestic or ceremonial use.
