Beaded leather moccasins with white beaded field around perimeter with triangular designs / Unknown
Essay/Description
Beaded leather moccasins. White beaded field around perimeter with triangular designs. Band of light blue beadwork around cuff. Blue beaded buffalo prints on vamp, as well as geometric figures. Split “V” cuff. All beadwork is done with lazy stitch.
Curatorial Remarks
Greasy yellow beads are an identifier that the moccasins are from the late 19th century during the reservation period. The beadwork on the heel covering the seam is an indication of the Cheyenne style. There is wear on the bottom of the moccasins.
