a- Pipe bowl.
b - Pipe stem- This is a round, wooden pipe stem decorated with porcupine quills. The quills have been dyed in red, yellow, and blue colors, using natural and aniline dyes. Green feathers from the head/neck of a mallard drake, red horse hair, and green yellow, red and purple ribbons complete the adornment. It was used with a catlinite pipe bowl for ceremonial purposes.
