Grey baseball style hat with geometric designs / Unknown

Essay/Description

A light grey commercial poly-cotton cap with an adjustable plastic snap at its back. Six sections form the cap, with a cloth covered button at its peak. A cloth covered bill is at its front and a grey cord crosses the front where the bill and cap meet. The front panel is decorated with a silk screen logo symbolic to the Euchee people, with a text reading "Euchee Heritage Days," above the logo and "1997" beneath it. The logo itself features a geometric sun design, a ceremonial fireplace, and the word TZO YA HA.

Curatorial Remarks

Heritage Days was similar to a powwow, where cooking and dances would take place. It is a cultural event that sometimes celebrated several tribes together.
