Essay/Description

A yarn belt with two tassled cords at each end. Red and white yarn woven to produce horizontal stripes. The belt is heddle/loom woven. The pairs of tassels are knotted together at the one hip, closing the belt around the waist. The tassels are braided in a three-ply technique.

Curatorial Remarks

This belt is constructed using the heddle weave technique.
