Curatorial Remarks
The design of the ribbonwork is typical of women's clothing because it is curvilinear. Around the 1920s, a shift occurred where this type of clothing would be more commonly seen in ceremonial events rather than domestic use. During this time, younger Osage individuals began to wear non-traditional clothing styles.
