Trail’s End, 725 Michigan Blvd., Pasadena, California. October 23rd, 1935. Mr. Paul Patton, The Paul Patton Company, 1921-1927 Woodland Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri. Dear Mr. Patton: Your letter of October 19th, received. In the excitement of closing the house at my summer camp in Montana, I ap- parently misplaced your address. Anyway, when I reached home I was unable to find it and I am very glad indeed to have your address again. I shall do my best to give you a word picture of the paint- ings that I have in my home. No doubt Powder River has told you of them and how few originals are to be found. Under separated cover, I am sending several photographs of oils and three water colors with descriptions so that you may get an idea of the composition and I hope you know Russell coloring If not, you will have a great surprise when you do see the originals as his color and atmosphere is very brilliant and fairly vibrates on all his canvases. As you did not give me an idea of your preference of subjects, I am sending photo- graphs of all the pictures I have for sale. Thinking you might be interested in some of the bronzes, I am enclosing photographs of a few of the subjects. If you are interested in any particular one, I am sure we can ar- range to send the original to you for your inspection. When you have finished with these photographs and descriptions will you please return them to me together with the descript- tions. Very truly yours, P.S. Attached hereto is a list of the photographs of paint- ings and models which I am sending.
