You will note as per our telephone conversa- tion of this morning that I have chosen “The Bucker and the Buckeroo” at $600.00 instead of the “The Horse Wrangler” and added the Two Hundred Dollars difference in price in the above figures. Having Charlie Russell pictures with one here in New York is the only way I know of enjoying such ad- vantages as the East has to offer, and yet having Montana with one. I am now the proud owner of six Russell pictures. Mrs. Cole and I will doubtless be in again with some of our friends, and are also looking forward to having you see the very modest beginning we have al- ready made toward a collection of the Northwest – probably some day or evening next week. [next] 2nd Mrs. Charles M. Russell, January 7, 1925 c/o The Harlow Art Galleries, 712 Fifth Avenue, New York City. I hope you will not let Charlie forget about the Placer Mining picture when he get home I would like to see the scene in Last Chance Gul>ch< with Mount Helena in the background, and the canvas is>if< possible not larger than about 18 x 12 or there- abouts. By the way who is the Joe I heard you speak about? I think you called him Joe DeLuca and said that he was working under Charlie in his studio. If he is real good I would like to see some of his work when the opportunity presents. With every good wish to both of you – both personally and for the continued success of your inspiring exhibition. Sincerely your friend, [signed] (Dr) Philip G. Cole.
