Through Mr. MacKay’s and your great friendship for Charlie, you started the wheel turning through Senator Walsh which led to a letter I have just re- ceived from the Governor of Montana in which he says nothing will be done until the legislature meets two years from now. In the meantime, I feel something will come forth that will give us a model worthy of Charlie and Montana to fill that niche. I hope you understand how deeply I appreciate the interest you have just shown in the memory of our dear Charlie and any further suggestions you can offer to strengthen the movement for a truly worthy piece of art will be gratefully accepted by me.
